ANOTHER, THE OTHER, OTHER, OTHERS, THE OTHERS

Kata ‘OTHER’ digunakan dengan berbagai variasi, antara lain: another, the other, other, others, the others. Kata other dengan berbagai variasinya bisa berfungsi sebagai kata sifat (adjective) maupun kata ganti (pronoun). Berikut ini adalah contoh posisi bentukk-bentuk other yang berfungsi sebagai kata sifat maupun sebagai kata ganti.

ANOTHER

Another digunakan dengan maksud untuk menyebutkan satu lagi sebagai tambahan benda yang telah kita sebutkan sebelumnya. Another digunakan bersama dengan kata benda tunggal. Kata another bisa berfungsi sebagai kata sifat (adjective) maupun kata ganti (pronoun).

Example :

·         I have four pens. Two pens are for Andi. One pen is for you. Another pen is for your sister.

Note: kata another dalam kalimat diatasberposisi sebagai kata sifat (adjective)  yang menerangkan kata benda pen.

·         Look I have two rabbits. One rabbit is white. Another is grey.

Note: kata another dalam kalimat diatas berfungsi sebagai kata ganti (adjective)

Another dapat berarti suatu alternatif, besides these/this (disamping ini).

Example :

·         I have many magazine. One of the magazines is TEMPO. Another magazine is MATRA. Another is SARINAH

·         I don’t want this magazine. I want another

·         He doesn’t know her adress. Let’s ask another

THE OTHER

Kata the other kita gunakan ketika ingin menyebutkan benda kedua dari pasangan benda yang telah kita sebutkan atau yang sudah kita ketahui.

Example:

·         I have three magazines. Two are TIMES and Newsweek. The other magazine is Asiaweek.

Note: pada kalimat diatas kata other sebagai kata sifat yang menerangkan kata benda magazine. Kalimat “The other magazine is Asiaweek”bisa diganti dengan “The other is Asiaweek”. Namun dalam kalimat ini, kata other berfungsi sebagai kata ganti.

·         I have five magazines. One is SARINAH. The other magazines are TEMPO, MATRA, POPULAR and WANITA.

·         I have two magazines. If you don’t like this one, you can have the other.

·         Two policemen were on patrol, one behind the other.

OTHERS

Others kita gunakan jika kita ingin menyebutkan beberapa benda lagi sebagai tambahan dari benda yang kita sebutkan sebelumnya. Kata others berfungsi sebagai kata benda jamak.

Example:

·         I have many friends. One of my friends is from Yogyakarta. Another friend is from South Sumatera. Another is from West Java. Other friends are from Jakarta. Others are from East Java.

·         These magazines are very expensive. I want others.

·         They are very tired, so I want to find others.

THE OTHERS

Kita menggunakan the others jika yang kita maksudkan adalah semua benda yang terisi dari jumlah tertentu atau sisa dari sekelompok benda atau orang tertentu.

Example:

·         Andri has five magazines. One is SARINAH. The other magazines are TEMPO and MATRA. The others are POPULAR and WANITA.

·         I want to buy these magazines. I don’t want the others

·         Endra has arrived, I will tell the others.

EACH OTHER and ONE ANOTHER

Kata each other dan one another kita gunakan untuk menyebutkan dua benda/orang yang memiliki hubungan timbal balik. (reciprocal relationship)

Example:

·         We send an SMS to each other everyday

·         We send an SMS to one another everyday

The Palembang Great Mosque History (Sejarah Mesjid Agung Palembang)

Kalau tentang Bulan Ramadhan pasti kalian selalu shalat terawih nih buat menyempurnakan amalan di bulan penuh berkah ini. Di lingkungan tempatku tinggal shalat terawihnya terdiri dari 8 rakaat ditambah 3 witir.
Aku amat suka shalat terawih apalagi suasana di mesjid yang rame itu ngebuat momen bulan puasa jadi kental dan susah banget dilupain. And well, kalau kalian lagi di kota Palembang atau mudik terus ngelewatin kotaku yang tercinta, singgahlah kerumah Allah yaitu Mesjid Agung Palembang. Enggak jauh soalnya mesjid itu terletak tepat di pusat kota Palembang dekat sekali dengan Jembatan Ampera, Jembatan Kebanggaan Wong kito. Sekarang aku mau jelasin nih sejarah singkat tentang mesjid tersebut, so enjoy!

Mesjid ini dulu dikenal dengan sebutan Mesjid Sulton, karena yang membangunnya adalah Sultan Machmud Badaruddin I atau Sultan Machmud Badaruddin Jayo Wikramo. Bangunan mesjid ini pertama kalinya dari batu. Peletakan batu pertamanya pada tanggal 1 Jumadil Akhir 1151 H (1738 M). Terletak dibelakang bangunan Benteng Kuto Besak yang juga baru dibangun. Lokasi dibangunnya Mesjid Agung terletak di dua pulau yang dikelilingi oleh Sungai Musi (disebelah Selatan), Sungai Sekanak (disebelah Barat), sungai Tengkuruk (disebelah Timur) dan sungai Kapuran (disebelah Utara). Selesai dan peresmian pemakaiannya hari Senin 28 Jumadil awal 1161 H (26 Mei 1748M).

Bentuk arsitektur tradisional dengan atap berundak limas di puncaknya (bentuk Mustaka/Kepala dari atap undak mesjid tersebut) mempunyai Jurai kelompok simbar 50 duri dengan jumlah pada bagian dua sisi berjumlah 2x12 duri dan dua sisi lainnya berjumlah 2x13 duri. Bentuk Mustaka yang terjurai ini melengkung keatas pada keempat ujungnya yang menyerupai bentuk atap pada bangunan China. Disebut atap tersebut mustaka karena atap yang teratas terpisah dari atap dibawahnya yang ditopang oleh tiang-tiang diatas tanah, sehingga seperti kepala dan tubuh yang dipisah leher. Pada lis plang diukirkan ukiran tanaman dan bunga.
Ukuran Mesjid Agung pada awalnya adalah 30 meter yang menghadap ke Jalan Merdeka (selatan) dan 36 meter diarah Jalan Jendral Sudirman (timur). Dengan luas mesjid 1080 meter persegi dan dapat menampung 1200 jemaah.

Pada dewasa ini, bangunan mesjid itu terdiri dari bangunan utama dan bangunan sayap yang luasnya 6140 meter persegi. Luas tangga mihrab dan gudang 674 meter persegi sehingga ruang untuk shalat 54416 meter persegi yang dapat menampung 7600 jemaah. Islamic Centre dengan luas seluruhnya 1402 meter persegi, pembagianruangannya adalah lantai dasar yang diperuntukkan pada Pelayanan Masyarakat, seperti : Poliklinik, Kegiatan Remaja, Kantor Mesjid, Kantor Agama, Koperasi + Kantik, Ruang belajar Bahasa Arab dan Ruang Radio Pemancar. Seluruh bagian di mesjid maupun disekitar mesjid ditata sedemikian rupa dengan penempatan fasilitas parkir kendaraan serta penghijauan diatur sedemikian rupa.

Mesjid Agung Palembang (The Palembang Great Mosque). Formerly, the mosque was called The Mosque of the Sultan, because the late of Sultan Machmud  Badaruddin I or Sultan Machmud Badaruddin Jayo Wikramo built it. The laying down of the corner stone was held on the first of Jumadil Akhir 1151 H (1738 M) behind the Benteng Kuto Besak which was newly built. The location of the building of the Great Mosque is on an island surrounded of Musi River (south), Sekanak river (west), Tengkuruk river (east) dan Kapuran river (north). The mosque was finished and established on Monday 28 Jumadil Awal 1161 H (May 26 1748).

The traditional architecture was used with stepping pyramid-type roof (head roof). The top of the roof has bunches of 50 thorns, on one side 2x12 thorns and on the other 2x13 thorns. The form of the hanging Mustaka are curve upward on the four tips and the form is the same with the form of the root of the houses in China. The roof is called Mustaka because the roof is separated with the rest, which are supported with poles in such away it looks like the head and the body separated by the neck. Along the edge of the roof there is ornament of flowers and plantation.

The mosque was formally 30 meter long across the Merdeka Street (south) and 36 meter long across Jendral Sudirman Street (east). The mosque is about 1080 square meters and can be occupied by 1200 community. 

Today, the renovation plan of the mosque of Main and Wings building, it's about 6140 square meters. The Mihrab steps and the ware house is about 647 square meters, so that for the place for sholat is about 5446 square meters and can be occupied by 7600 worshipers. The Islamic Center is 1402 square meters. The use of the rooms is as follows like: the first floor is used for public service such as: Polyclinic, Teenager activity, the Mosque Office, Arabian study center and Radio Transmitter. All of the parts of the mosque as well as the surrounding are organized such away that there are facilities such parking area and parks.

My Violin's Lost

When I do activities in Fasting 1st of Ramadan 1433 H
I was cleaning my bedroom and I found little wardrobe in there.
So I unpack it.
My wardrobe's a lot of dust. I always tried to suppress a sneeze many times so much.
And how shocked I was when I saw a brown box the which is obsolete and full of the dust.
That is box of my electric violin!

"Oh how poor you are. I'm so sad to saw you. I abandoned you since two years ago."
So sorry. :'(

Life is never about saying sorry. I didn't feel like I'm finding a violin but 'a trove' and somehow I wish for it  never happens to me again so that I can always be grateful for it. Because I want to always remember about my trove forever oh God I can't believe that how much I've fallen this thing.
I have to clean it and will play it.

Ini postinganku tepat yang ke-100 !!

Pertama kali ngeliyat pengumuman bahwa aku diterima dijurusan Teknik Mesin perasaan galau minta ampun jadi klimaks persinetronan. Apalagi kalo ngeliyat daftar lulus SNMPTN di koran yang terpampang cuma 2  nama (cewek) sodara-sodara!! ulangi lagi hanya dua orang !!!!

Padahal sebelumnya kepengin masuk Polsri, lebih deket dari rumah dan pacar juga kuliah disana. Tapi ga dibolehin ngambil D3 oleh orang tua. :'(
Alhasil emang aku salah perhitungan, pilihan pertama emang Teknik Mesin tapi aku maunya pilihan ke-2 Teknik Arsitektur.
Bener-bener salah! kalo bahasanya 'tekacip' hee

yang buat aku sukar masuk jurusan ini cuma materi pelajarannya.

Gua kepenginnya ngejauh dari FISIKA! eh malah mentok disana. Menurut Loe?

Tapi setelah menjalanin 2 semester ini, ternyata semuanya gak seburuk yang aku bayangin. Apalagi sama temen-temen yang tiap hari buat ngakak!

Alhamdulillah sekali karena semua udah ada jalannya tinggal niat sama usaha aja biar lebih semangat!

Annoyed Little Thing But Fun! (Hal-hal yang Nyebelin tapi Nyenengin)

1. Beli durian yang harganya "ngabisin isi dompet" dan belinya jauh banget dari rumah. Gila emang, saking kepenginnya tapi bener-bener bahagia pas ngebelah durian, isi duriannya emang beneran montok kayak Jupe. Gak nyesel dah kalo udah kayak gitu, palagi kalo makannya sama pacar dan keluarga!

2. Lagi males-malesnya pergi ke Mall gara-gara macet tapi ketika udah nyampe ketemu sama diskon maut ampe 90%. Rasanya berdosa kalo gak ngabisin duit dalem dompet!

3. Ngestalk orang yang 'katanya' lagi suka sama pacar itu nyebelin, cuma buang-buang waktu dan ngebuat pacar gak percaya sama kita. Tapi kalo gak ngestalk gak hidup!

4. Pas lagi musuhan sama pacar, gak smsan & telponan ampe berhari-hari terus pas baikan masing-masing dari kita bilang "GhuWee kanGeeen bAngEd CamHa LoEh, nGerTi Gak Sicchhh?!" alaynya minta ampun!

5. Ketemu sama temen lama bareng pacar terus diceritain semua aib jaman dulu disekolah, pengin rasanya nimpuk tu temen pakek durian tadi tapi gak jadi, dah keburu have fun duluan kalo ceritanya udah ngakak gak ketolongan!

6. Ketika mo ujian mendadak di kuliah, eh 10 menit kemudian dosennya ngebatalin!

7. Mo pulang naik bis dari kuliah dapet tempat duduk paling belakang, tapi gatau kenapa kalo lama-kelamaan kayak naik roller coaster! nguji adrenalin sendiri!

8. Suka kesel kalo nunggu orang kelamaan tapi pas dateng bawa makanan banyak!

9. Lagi marah sama pacar karena PMS atau mood lagi 'bad' dan sialnya dia juga gatau apa yang lagi aku rasaain, kesalnya jadi berkali-kali lipat. Terus dia bilang kayak gini "kita makan ice cream yuk?". Semuanya bubar jalan!

10. Ngeberesin lemari pakaian terus nyuci pakaian yang udah lama banget kaga di pakek eh ketemu duit di kantongnya. Itu beneran kayak dapet harta karun One Piece, serius!
